Carey Corr is also a proud Chief of Cinematography and a founding member of the Octopus Movement. The Octopus Movement is a Human Mycelium of Nonlinear Thinkers Solving the Unsolvable for a Sustainable Future. It is a global coalition of nonlinear thinkers united by a desire to create positive change in the world. Its mission resonates deeply with Carey, who finds a sense of belonging and inspiration among its members.

A proud graduate of the University of California, Irvine, with a B.S. degree in Film Studies, Carey launched his directing career by being named “Best New Director” at the 1993 Los Angeles One Acts/New Directors Theater Festival. Since then, he has directed numerous world premieres for the stage and has been a pioneer in various creative fields.

Carey’s groundbreaking music video work has inspired countless artists and continues to influence the industry. His projects are driven by a love for storytelling and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

Carey co-wrote the screenplay Don Ho Totally Rocks with
Alex Reid, Emmy award winning writer and former Co-Executive Producer for
Fox hit sitcom Malcolm in the Middle.

He also co-directed the short documentary film,A Walk On Water, about surfing (featuring Surfers Healing Organization run by Izzy Paskowitz), autism and the contamination of our world with toxic
substances. A Walk on Water won second place in the 2006 Insight 300 Seconds film festival, which screened the film in venues around the world.

His feature film directorial debut, A New Tomorrow, a comedy, which he also produced and wrote the original story, opened at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival in May 2007 winning an award and being honored by being the first film in the
festival’s history to receive two screenings in one year of the festival’s programming. The film also screened in the prestigious New Filmmakers LA
Screening Series and at the University California Los Angeles.
